Diamonds Meet Air Force Standards
Unison founder's initial training as an electronic engineer equipped him to treat every problem as an opportunity to provide solutions. His service in the Israeli Air Force has also provided him with discipline, accuracy and a willingness to take risks where others might falter. He modestly says that he is concerned with geometric problem solving, but his work reveals an eye for beauty and brilliance that only years of experience in the field can bring.
After completing his active military service in the rank of Major and graduating as an electronics engineer in 1988, Oran worked briefly in the high-tech industry and entered the diamond business via a family connection, where started from manual cutting and polishing. In 1994, Oran decided to strike out on his own and joined the diamond-cutting company that soon became Unison Gemstones - wholly owned by him.
Oran motto is to solve problems and provide ingenious solutions. Never shy of hard work and research, he designed unique items for scores of jewelers and watchmakers around the world, including famous objets-d'art, worth of Guiness Book of Records.
Such attention to detail is what sets Unison - and Oran - apart from the rest.
